Jennifer has been rescuing and fostering pets for over ten years. She works in a veterinary clinic in Green Bay as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Kevin has also rescued several animals over the years. Because of their love of animals, they founded Tender Heart Pet Rescue. Every animal they take in is cared for and seen by a veterinarian. Funding for this comes out of pocket and adoption donations.

Jennifer and Kevin also love spending time with their own pets. They have two dogs: AJ (a Doberman Pinscher) and Lestat (a Weimaraner Mix) both rescue dogs. They also have four cats; (Cleopatra, from a private home; Athina, who was rescued; Prince, who was from the Humane Society; and Demetri, who was given to them as a gift).

          They have fostered and cared for many different kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds (large and small), reptiles (large and small), fresh water fish, horses, cows, sheep, geese, baby ducks, llamas, and even an 8 week old kid (baby goat) they had to bottle feed.
